This page explains what data the website collects about you, why, who helps handle it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. We kept it short, and it describes how the website really works.

Data we collect

Data you give us

• Through the contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, and the box you tick to agree with this policy. The other fields are optional.
• By email: when you email cuong@cuongthach.com, we get your email address and whatever you write.

Technical data when you open the website

• Like every website, when you open a page, the Cloudflare servers that host the website receive your IP address, your browser type and the page you asked for. They need this to send you the page and keep the website safe.
• The first time you open the home page without having picked a language, the website checks which country your IP address points to, to choose the Vietnamese or English version. We use this only at that moment, and we do not save it.

Data we do not collect

• No tracking, no ads, no watching what you do. No accounts, no comments, and no payments on this website.

What we use your data for

• To answer the messages and emails you send.
• To stop spam and misuse of the contact form.
• To open the right language and remember how you like the site to look.
• To run and protect the website.

We do not use your data to send you ads, build a profile of you, or let a computer make decisions about you.

Why we are allowed to use your data

For contact form messages, it is your consent, which you give by ticking the box before you send. You can take it back at any time (see Your rights). For the technical data the website needs to run safely, it is the site owner's fair interest in running and protecting the website.

The contact form

When you press send, your message goes to a small program running on Cloudflare. It turns the message into an email and sends it to Cường's inbox. The website does not save your message in any database or file.

Spam protection with Cloudflare Turnstile

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real people from automatic bots. When you open the contact page, Turnstile runs a quick check in your browser. It may use your IP address and some browser details. Cloudflare handles this data under its own policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/. Turnstile only loads on the contact page.

Cookies and browser storage

• The `lang` cookie: remembers the language you picked (Vietnamese or English), so the site opens in it next time. It lasts one year and holds no personal details. It is only created when you switch language.
• Your browser's local storage: remembers your light or dark mode and look. It stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.
• The docs (`/docs/`): the search box works inside your own browser and does not send what you type anywhere.

You can delete cookies and saved data at any time in your browser settings. The website still works fine. It just won't remember your choices.

Links and content from other websites

Some posts link to other websites, including affiliate links, and some videos sit on another server. When you click those links or play those videos, that website may collect data about you under its own rules. We do not control those rules and are not responsible for them.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or rent your data. It only passes through the technical services the website needs:

• Cloudflare: hosts the website, handles visits, runs the contact form, blocks spam (Turnstile) and sends email.

Apart from that, we only give your data to a public authority when the law says we must.

Data sent to other countries

Cloudflare has servers all over the world, so your data may be handled outside Vietnam. We use this service only for the reasons above.

How long we keep your data

• Messages and emails you send: they stay in Cường's email inbox. He keeps them to reply to you and follow the conversation, and he deletes them if you ask.
• The `lang` cookie: one year, or until you delete it.
• Technical data: Cloudflare keeps it for its own period of time, to run and protect the service. The website keeps no extra copy.

Keeping your data safe

The website only works over a secure connection (HTTPS). The contact form checks where each message comes from and blocks spam. It also saves no messages on the website, so there is no store of messages on our side that could leak. No protection is perfect. If your message is very private, please do not put that in it.

Children

The website is not for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect children's data. If you are a parent or guardian and think your child sent us data, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights over your data

You have the right to:

• find out what data we hold about you, and see it;
• ask us to fix data that is wrong;
• ask us to delete your data, or to limit how we use it;
• take back the consent you gave;
• object to how your data is used.

To use these rights, email cuong@cuongthach.com from the address you used to contact us, and say what you want. We will reply within a reasonable time. We cannot delete data the law makes us keep. If you feel your rights were not respected, you can also contact the data protection authority where you live.

Changes to this policy

If the website starts handling data differently (for example, by adding analytics or an email newsletter), we will update this page before the change starts, with the date at the top.
